Mae llawer o bethau gwahanol y gallwch chi eu gwneud yn Ne Cymru. Mae'n llawn hanes, hwyl a chyffro. Mae amrywiaeth enfawr o bethau i'w gwneud  yn Ne Cymru, felly mae rhywbeth i bawb.

There are lots of different things that you can do in South Wales. It is full of history, fun and excitement. There is a huge variety of things to do in South Wales so there is something for everyone.

 Pwll Mawr, Amgueddfa Lafaol Cymru / Big Pit, Welsh Coal Museum

Amgueddfa treftadaeth ddiwydiannol ym Mlaenafon, Torfaen, De Cymru yw Pwll Mawr, Amgueddfa Lofaol Cymru. Gyda chyfleusterau i addysgu a diddanu pobl o bob oedran, mae Pwll Mawr yn cynnig diwrnod cyffrous ac addysgiadol i'r teulu cyfan. Roedd yn bwll glo gweithiol o 1880 I 1980. Agorwyd I’r cyhoedd ym 1983 gan Amgueddfa Cymru. Mae ymwelwyr yn cael y cyfle i gael eu gostwng 90 metr (300 troedfedd) i lawr y pwll glo ar gyfer y daith o dan y ddaear enwog. Mae’n daith ddeniadol o gwmpas rhan o waith tanddaearol gwreiddiol. Bydd yr ymwelwyr yn gwisgo'r un offer yn union â’r hen lowyr - helmed, lamp capan, gwregys, batri a ‘hunan achubydd’. Rydych hefyd yn gallu cymryd sedd yn yr ystafell aros glowyr cyn cychwyn ar eich taith.

Big Pit

Big Pit, Welsh Coal Museum is an industrial heritage museum in Blaenavon, Torfaen, South Wales. With facilities to educate and entertain people of every age, Big Pit offers an exciting and educational day for the whole family. It was a working coal mine from 1880 to 1980. It was opened to the public in 1983 by the National Museum of Wales. Visitors have the chance to be lowered 90 meters (300 feet) down the coal mine for the famous underground adventure. It’s a captivating journey around a section of original underground workings. Visitors will wear the same equipment that was used by the miners – helmet, cap lamp, belt, battery and ‘self rescuer.’  You can also take a seat in the miners' Waiting Room before embarking on your journey.


Bluestone

Parc gwyliau yn Sir Benfro yw Bluestone. Mae’r parc 500 erw yn egwyl hwyl i’r teulu cyfan. Mae’n cynnwys y parc dŵr enwog, Blue Lagoon, sydd ar agor i bawb. Does dim rhaid i chi aros yn Bluestone er mwyn mynd I’r Blue Lagoon. Blue Lagoon yw un o’r parciau dŵr mwyaf yng Nghymru. Ar y gyrchfan, mae siopau, tai bwyta, tafarn a spa. Mae llawer o weithgareddau gwahanol i’w gwneud yno hefyd, gan gynnwys maes chwarae enfawr, gwifren zip a llawer mwy. Does dim ceir yn y parc er mwyn annog i bobl gerdded a seiclo.

Bluestone

Bluestone is a holiday park in Pembrokeshire. The 500-acre park is a fun break for the whole family. It includes the famous waterpark, Blue Lagoon, which is open to everyone. You don’t have to stay in Bluestone in order to go to the Blue Lagoon. Blue Lagoon has one of the biggest waterparks in Wales. In the resort there are shops, restaurants, a pub and a spa. There are many different activities to do there too, including a huge play area, zip wire and lots more. There are no cars in the park in order to encourage people to walk and cycle.


Bae Caerdydd / Cardiff Bay

Ardal fywiog yng Nghaerdydd yw Bae Caerdydd. Mae'n boblogaidd ar gyfer y celfyddydau, bywyd nos ac adloniant. Mae llawer o adeiladau nodedig ym Mae Caerdydd gan gynnwys Y Senedd, Canolfan y Mileniwm, Gwesty Dewi Sant ac Adeilad y Pierhead. Roedd adeiladu'r morglawdd ym Mae Caerdydd yn un o'r prosiectau peirianneg mwyaf yn Ewrop. Mae Bae Caerdydd yn wych i’r teulu cyfan am fod amrywiaeth enfawr o bethau i’w gwneud yno er enghraifft gweld sioe yng Nghanolfan y Mileniwm, bowlio deg a’r sinema. Hefyd, mae Plas Roald Dahl yn faes mawr agored, fel amffitheatr, a ddefnyddir yn aml fel lleoliad ar gyfer digwyddiadau gwahanol trwy gydol y flwyddyn. Mae llawer iawn o lefydd i fwyta ac yfed yn y bae hefyd, felly mae’n wych am ddiwrnod mas cyffrous.

Cardiff Bay

Cardiff Bay is a lively area in Cardiff. It is popular for the arts, night life and entertainment. There are lots of notable buildings in Cardiff Bay, including The Senedd, The Millennium Centre, St David’s Hotel and the Pierhead Building. Building the barrage in Cardiff Bay was one of the biggest engineering projects in Europe. Cardiff Bay is great for the whole family because there is a huge variety of things to do there, including seeing a show in the Millennium Centre, tenpin bowling and the cinema. Also, Roald Dahl Plas is an open-air plaza, like an amphitheatre, which is used often as a location for different events throughout the year. There are also many places to eat and drink in the bay, so it’s great for an exciting day out.


Folly Farm

Atyniad ymwelwyr yn Sir Benfro yw Folly Farm. Mae’r parc yn gartref i sŵ gyda dros 750 o anifeiliaid yn ogystal â ffair gyda 17 o reidiau ac wyth man chwarae dan do ac awyr agored. O ganlyniad, mae’n ddiwrnod gwych i’r holl deulu. Mae Folly Farm wedi’i enwi fel y 10fed sŵ gorau yn y byd.  Mae llawer o gyfleoedd i brynu bwyd a diod yno hefyd. Folly Farm yw’r atyniad ymwelwyr annibynnol mwyaf yng Nghymru ac maen nhw wedi ennill nifer o wobrau dros y blynyddoedd. Mae tua hanner miliwn o bobl yn mynd i Folly Farm bob blwyddyn.  Mae 120 erw o hwyl felly mae rhywbeth i bawb yno!

Folly Farm

Folly Farm is a visitor attraction in Pembrokeshire. The park is home to a zoo with over 750 animals aswell as a funfair with 17 rides and 8 indoor and outdoor play areas. As a result, it is a great day out for the whole family. Folly Farm has been named as the 10th best zoo in the world. There are lots of opportunities to buy food and drink there too. Folly Farm in the biggest independent visitor attraction in Wales and they have won a number of awards over the years. Approximately half a million people go to Folly Farm every year. There are 120 acres of fun so there is something for everyone there!


LC

Canolfan hamdden yng nghanol Abertawe yw’r LC (neu LC2). Ail-agorwyd yn 2018 y ganolfan yn dilyn gweddnewidiad £32 miliwn. Fe yw’r parc dŵr dan do mwyaf yng Nghymru gyda sleidiau, tonnau a pheiriant syrffio dan do o’r enw The Boardrider. Rydych yn gallu ymlacio yn y trobwll hefyd, neu arnofio o gwmpas yr afon ddiog yn y parc dŵr. Mae wal dringo, maes chwarae pedwar llawr a neuadd chwaraeon yn y ganolfan hefyd. Yn ogystal â hyn, mae campfa dwy lawr gyda golygfeydd ysblennydd dros ddinas Abertawe. Mae caffi yno sy’n gwerthu coffi Starburks hefyd. Gellir cael llawer o hwyl i gyd o dan yr un to.

LC

The LC (or LC2) is a leisure centre in the centre of Swansea. The centre reopened in 2008 following a £32 million makeover. It is the biggest indoor waterpark in Wales, with slides, waves and an indoor surfing machine called The Boardrider. You can relax in the whirlpool too, or float around the lazy river in the waterpark. There is also a climbing wall, a four-storey play area and a sports hall in the centre. In addition to this, there is a two-storey gym with stunning views over the city of Swansea. There is a café there too which sells Starbucks coffee. One can have a lot of fun all under the same roof.


Amgueddfa Werin Cymru, Sain Ffagan / Museum of Welsh Life, St Fagans

Amgueddfa awyr-agored yw Amgueddfa Werin Cymru. Cyfeirir ati yn rheolaidd fel Sain Ffagan achos ei bod wedi'i leoli ym mhentref Sain Ffagan yng Nghaerdydd. Mae’n dysgu ymwelwyr am hanes phensaernïaeth, diwylliant a ffordd o fyw yng Nghymru. Mae Sain Ffagan yn cynnwys casgliad o fwy na deugain o adeiladau traddodiadol sydd wedi’u hail-godi o leoliadau gwahanol yng Nghymru. Mae amrywiaeth o adeiladau yno, gan gynnwys capel, ysgol, tolldy a siopau. Yr adeiladau mwyaf poblogaidd yw Bythynnod Rhyd-y-Car, sef chwech o dai teras wedi’u creu er mwyn cynrychioli chwe chyfnod cronolegol (1805, 1855, 1895, 1925, 1955 a 1985). Mae ar agor bob dydd o 10yb i 5yp ac mae mynediad am ddim. Mae caffi a siop anrhegion yno hefyd.

St Fagans

The Museum of Welsh Life is an open-air museum, It is often referred to as St Fagans because it is located in the village of St Fagans in Cardiff. It teaches visitors about the history of architecture, culture and the way of living in Wales. St Fagans contains a collection of more than forty traditional buildings which have been rebuilt from different locations in Wales. There is a variety of buildings there, including a chapel, school, toll booth and shops. The most popular buildings are the Rhyd-y-Car cottages, six terrace houses which have been created in order to represent six chronological periods (1805, 1855, 1895, 1925, 1955 and 1985). It is open every day from 10am to 5pm and entrance is free. There is a café and a gift shop there too.


Gardd Fotaneg Genedlaethol Cymru / National Botanical Garden of Wales

Gardd a pharcdir yn Sir Gaerfyrddin yw Gardd Fotaneg Genedlaethol Cymru. Sefydlwyd y gerddi yn 2000 fel rhan o’r dathliadau ar gyfer y mileniwm. Mae’r ardal yn 568 erw o ran maint. Mae’r ardd yn boblogaidd i dwristiaid ac mae hefyd yn ganolfan ar gyfer ymchwil botanegol a chadwraeth. Y tŷ gwydr un-rhychwant yno yw’r mwyaf o’i fath yn y byd. Mae'r tŷ gwydr yn cynnwys planhigion o gynefinoedd sydd dan fygythiad yng ngwahanol rannau o'r byd, gan gynnwys Awstralia, De Affrica, Chile, Califfornia a Môr y Canoldir. Mae tua 160,000 o bobl yn ymweld â Gardd Fotaneg Genedlaethol Cymru bob blwyddyn.

Botanical Garden

The National Botanical Garden of Wales is a garden and parkland in Carmarthenshire. The gardens were established in 2000 as part of the celebrations for the millennium. It covers an area of 568 acres. The garden is popular for tourists and it is also a centre for botanical research and conservation. The single-span glasshouse there is the biggest of its type in the world. The glasshouse contains plants from habitats under threat in different parts of the world, including Australia, South Africa, Chile, California and the Mediterranean. Approximately 160,000 people visit the National Botanic Garden of Wales every year.


Amgueddfa Genedlaethol Cymru / National Museum of Wales

Amgueddfa Genedlaethol Cymru yw cartref i gasgliadau cenedlaethol Cymru mewn daeareg, celf a hanes natur. Mae rhywbeth i syfrdanu pawb yn yr amgueddfa, beth bynnag sy'n mynd â'ch bryd — Maen nhw’n trefnu rhaglen amrywiol o arddangosfeydd a digwyddiadau. Mae’r casgliad celf ymhlith y gorau yn Ewrop. Gwelwch tua 500 mlynedd o beintiadau, darluniau, cerfluniau, arian a seramig o Gymru a'r byd. Gellir mynd ar daith am Esblygiad Cymru. Gallwch ddod wyneb yn wyneb â dinosoriaid a mamothiaid gwlanog. Lleolir yr amgueddfa yng nghanol Caerdydd. Mae mynediad am ddim ac mae ar agor bob Dydd Mawrth i Ddydd Sul rhwng 10yb a 5yp.

Cardiff Museum

The National Museum of Wales is home to Wales’ national collections in geology, art and history. There is something to amaze everyone in the museum, whatever you are interested in. They organise a varied programme of exhibitions and events. The art collection is among the best in Europe. You will see five hundred paintings, drawings, sculpture, silver and ceramics from Wales and across the world. You can go on a journey about The Evolution of Wales. You can come face to face with dinosaurs and woolly mammoths. The museum is in the centre of Cardiff. Entrance is free and it is open every Tuesday to Sunday between 10am and 5pm.


Oakwood

Parc thema yn Sir Benfro yw Oakwood. Agorwyd y parc am y tro cyntaf yn y 1980au. Fe yw’r parc thema mwyaf yng Nghymru. Mae ar agor o ddiwedd mis Mawrth i gynnar ym mis Tachwedd ond mae’n cau dros y gaeaf. Mae Oakwood yn ddiwrnod gwych i’r teulu cyfan achos bod rhywbeth i bawb yno. Mae llawer o reidiau ac atyniadau yn y parc, rhai mawr a rhai bach. Enwau’r reidiau mwyaf yw Megafobia, Drenched a Speed. Mae trên er mwyn mynd o’r maes parcio mawr i’r parc. Mae oriau agor y parc yn amrywio gydag amser y flwyddyn. Mae amrywiaeth o fwyd a diodydd ar gael i’w prynu ac mae siop anrhegion hefyd.

Oakwood

Oakwood is a theme park in Pembrokeshire. The park opened for the first time in the 1980s. It is the biggest theme park in Wales. It is open from the end of March until early November, but it closes during the winter. Oakwood is a great day for the whole family because there is something for everyone there. There are lots of rides and attractions in the park, some big and some small. The names of the biggest rides are Megaphobia, Drenched and Speed.  There is a train in order to go from the large car park to the park. The park’s opening hours vary with the time of the year. There is a variety of food and drinks available to buy and there is a gift shop too.


Parc y Rhath / Roath Park

Parc y Rhath yw’r parc mwyaf poblogaidd yng Nghaerdydd. Agorwyd y parc ym 1894. Llyn Parc y Rhath yw llyn 30 erw a gafodd ei gloddio ac mae’n boblogaidd i hwylio a physgota. Mae Goleudy Coffa Scott ar lyn y Rhath yn un o ddelweddau eiconig Caerdydd. Mae Heuldy Parc y Rhath ar agor i deithiau hunan-dywys ac i ymweliadau ysgol. Mae llawer o gyfleusterau ardderchog yno hefyd gan gynnwys caffi, caban hufen iâ a chaeau chwarae i blant. Rydych yn gallu llogi cwch ar y llyn hefyd. Mae parc yn agor bob dydd am 7:30yb ac yn cau 30 munud cyn machlud.

Roath Park

Roath Park is the most popular park in Cardiff. The park opened in 1984. Roath Park Lake is a 30-acre man-made lake and it is popular for boating and fishing. The Scott Memorial Lighthouse on the park’s lake is one of Cardiff’s iconic images. Roath Park’s Conservatory is open for self-guided and school visits. There are lots of fantastic facilities there too, including a café, ice cream van and children’s play areas. You can also hire a boat on the lake. The park opens every day at 7:30am and closes 30 minutes before sunset.
