I lawer o bobl hŷn yn byw gyda dementia, mae gwrando ar fiwsig yn eu mamiaith yn gallu eu bywiogi a’i hysgogi. Dyma’r cam diweddaraf yn y gwaith y mae Prifysgol Bangor wedi ei wneud gyda Merched y Wawr ac fe hoffwn i ddiolch i bawb o'n partneriaid sydd wedi dod at ei gilydd i wneud yn siŵr y byddwn ni, yn ystod yr ychydig fisoedd nesaf, yn gallu cynnig yr adnodd hwn".Dr Catrin Hedd Jones, Chartered Psychologist at Bangor University who has been leading on this project says: “We know that music from our youth can stimulate happy memories and feelings. We need to work together to ensure that individuals who are Welsh speaking can enjoy their favourite songs while receiving care at home or in a care home. This is the latest step forward in work that Bangor University has been doing in partnership with Merched y Wawr and I would like to thank all partners who have come together to ensure that over the next few months, we will be able to offer this resource.”
Meddai DJ Radio 1, Huw Stephens, llysgennad miwsig Cymraeg: “Efallai mai gitârs neu greim, hip hop neu harmonïau, bîts gwichlyd neu ganu’n uchel ar y cyd yw dy bethau, ond beth bynnag sy’n dy gyffroi, mae yna fiwsig Cymraeg i ti wrando arno a syrthio mewn cariad o'r nodyn cyntaf. Rho 8 Chwefror 2019 ar dy galendr. Dyma’r diwrnod a fydd yn dathlu peth o’r miwsig anhygoel sy’n cael ei wneud yn y Gymraeg.
